La Commissione Europea ha approvato il finanziamento del progetto ERASMUS+ MARMED – MARitime cluster Management Education Development, presentato a marzo 2022.

Il progetto, di cui ForMare – Polo Nazionale per lo Shipping è coordinatore, mira ad adeguare le competenze dei Maritime Cluster Manager, al fine di rispondere alle esigenze emergenti di capacity building a livello europeo e internazionale, contribuendo ad aumentare il livello di innovazione e di competitività nonché alla definizione di un nuovo profilo professionale altamente qualificato nel settore della Blue Economy.

Partner del progetto sono i 5 Cluster d’Italia, Grecia, Portogallo e Tunisia della WestMED Cluster Alliance iniziativa volta a promuovere il dialogo tra cluster marittimi e sostenuta dalla WestMED Initiative, in particolare: Cluster BIG – Blue Italian Growth , Federazione del Mare, (Partner Associato), Strategis – Maritime ICT Cluster, Fórum Oceano, Cluster Maritime Tunisien (Partner Associato); oltre a istituti ed enti di ricerca da Italia, Grecia e Malta operanti nel settore della Blue Economy: OGS , Metropolitan College Global Engagement, MaritimeMT, DLTM – Distretto Ligure delle Tecnologie Marine Scrl (Partner Associato).

ForMare – Polo Nazionale per lo Shipping is the Coordinator of the project. In particular, the project aims at bridging the gap between the existing needs and the current skillset of Maritime Cluster Managers ensuring the re-skilling and up-skilling for an  innovative  professional Profile toward an increased competitiveness of the Maritime Cluster in the Mediterranean area and, overall, the boosting of innovation and sustainable growth in the Blue Economy sector. 

Among the consortium, there are 5 Clusters from Italy, Greece, Portugal and Tunisia of the WestMED Cluster Alliance, an initiative aimed at promoting dialogue between maritime clusters and supported by the WestMED Initiative: Cluster BIG – Blue Italian Growth, Federazione del Mare (Associated Partner), Strategis – Maritime ICT Cluster, Fórum Oceano, Cluster Maritime Tunisien (Associated Partner); as well as institutes and research bodies from Italy, Greece and Malta, operating in the blue economy sector: OGS, Metropolitan College Global Engagement, MaritimeMT, DLTM – Distretto Ligure delle Tecnologie Marine Scrl (Associated Partner).
