Dal 14 al 17 dicembre 2021 si svolgeranno a Roma le Giornate MED del Turismo Sostenibile, ospitate dalla Regione Lazio per esaminare diversi progetti Interreg MED con l’obiettivo di contribuire ad una ripresa più intelligente e più verde del settore turistico.
In questo quadro, il 15 dicembre 2021 si riunirà la Task Force della Commissione Intermediterranea su Cultura e Turismo Sostenibile. Durante l’incontro, saranno affrontati la pianificazione del turismo sostenibile basata sull’evidenza, l’empowerment delle parti interessate del turismo, lo sviluppo dell’ecoturismo nelle aree protette e sarà presentato lo sviluppo del il cicloturismo a livello transnazionale.

Durante questa sessione di rafforzamento delle capacità, i partecipanti saranno invitati a prendere parte a un esercizio concreto volto a identificare proposte pratiche per innescare lo sviluppo di processi di turismo sostenibile attraverso la cooperazione di governance multilivello.

The MED Sustainable Tourism Days, hosted by Regione Lazio, will take place on 14_17 December in Rome. During these days different Interreg MED projects and Euro-Mediterranean actors will join forces with the aim of contributing to a smarter and greener recovery of the tourism sector.
In this framework, the Intermediterranean Commission Task Force on Culture & Sustainable Tourism will meet online on 15 December 2021.
During the meeting, efficient existing tools addressing evidence-based sustainable tourism planning, tourism stakeholders’ empowerment, ecotourism development in Protected Areas and cycling tourism development at transnational level will be presented.
To give more food for thought and allow participants to part with solutions adapted to their needs, the Task Force meeting will be completed by a Capacity-building session (co-organised by CPMR-IMC and the UfM) on sustainable tourism implementation in the Mediterranean. During this capacity-building session, participants will be invited to take part in a concrete exercise aimed at identifying practical proposals to trigger the development of sustainable tourism processes through multi-level governance cooperation.
